Start with itemised CSV exports from your salon software. Map the fields once for each import and check the preview before continuing.
Will your export
work here?
Check a file’s shape before creating a workspace. Match its columns and inspect what still needs a human decision.
Start with itemised invoice detail. Invoice dates can differ from appointment dates, and a payment’s “processed by” person may not be the person who earned the sale. Read the Timely guide

Confirm the meaning of each column. Suggested matches come from its header name; they are yours to check.
The shape is readable.
0 rows have no supplied tax; 0 have no source commission. Blank values stay blank. A mapped row can still need a decision about its agreement, report coverage or whether it belongs in this pay period.

This checks CSV structure and selected field values, not the completeness or accuracy of a booking-system report. It cannot confirm who earned a sale, decide refund treatment, apply tiered commission or pay anyone.
Audit the report, not just the file.
A CSV can have the right columns and still leave a commission question unanswered. Learn which source report to use, how to trace a refund and when the platform’s own commission report is enough.
